Yunshan Wang Receives University of Utah TLO Ascender Grant for Neurotransmitter Detection Research

I am honored to have received the University of Utah TLO Ascender Grant for my project, “Opportunity Analysis for Detecting and Differentiating Neurotransmitters Using Ultraviolet Plasmonic Engineered Native Fluorescence.” This grant will support the development and commercialization of our innovative technology in neurotransmitter detection. I am excited to advance this research and grateful for the support that makes it possible.

Capstone Project

Celebrating the Capstone Team’s Success: Innovative Water Purification with Photocatalysis and Metallic Nanoparticles

A big shout-out to the Capstone project team, including Cameron Kelly, Kevin Linford, Sealeigh Keetch, and Sovit Bhetwal, all senior students in Chemical Engineering, for their outstanding work on purifying water containing organic contaminants. Their project focused on using photocatalysis coated with metallic nanoparticles to tackle this environmental challenge. Their dedication and hard work have led to impressive results, and it’s been a pleasure to watch their growth and success throughout the project! Special thanks to Dr. Yunshan Wang and Dr. Michael Nigra for their invaluable supervision and guidance.
